Tanzania's commitment to conservation and sustainable tourism ensures that the incredible ecosystems are preserved for future generations. The perfect destination for an East Africa safari, the nation's national parks are not just places to view wildlife; they represent a delicate balance of ecosystems that play a vital role in the health of our planet.

For anyone seeking an unparalleled East Africa safari experience, Tanzania’s national parks offer an extraordinary opportunity to connect with nature and experience the beauty of Africa’s wilderness. Whether it's witnessing the migration in the Serengeti, enjoying the tranquility of Lake Manyara, being surrounded by the unique plethora of baobab trees in Tarangire, or driving through the volcano caldera of the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Tanzania promises unforgettable encounters with the wild.

Beyond these well-known parks, Tanzania also offers lesser-known but equally captivating wildlife experiences in East Africa. Visit Rwanda

Rwanda, the "Land of a Thousand Hills," offers a East Africa luxury safari experience like no other, where the dense, mist-covered forests are home to one of the world’s most profound wildlife encounters—trekking with the endangered mountain gorillas of Volcanoes National Park.

It is easy to see why Rwanda is a favorite for East Africa safari holidays- in this verdant sanctuary, a close-up encounter with these majestic primates is both humbling and awe-inspiring, as they move gracefully through their natural habitat.

Beyond the gorillas, Rwanda’s Akagera National Park reveals a different side of the country, with savannas, wetlands, and lakes where elephants, lions, and hippos thrive. The stunning beauty of Nyungwe Forest, one of Africa's oldest rainforests, invites explorers to discover its rich biodiversity, including playful chimpanzees and countless bird species.

Rwanda's commitment to conservation, paired with its dramatic landscapes, makes it a must-visit destination for those seeking an intimate and transformative wildlife adventure. Rwanda is a thrilling destination on its own, as well as perfectly paired with Kenya or Tanzania- contact us today to explore our East Africa safari packages!

Visit Kenya

Kenya, the heart of East Africa's wildlife kingdom, is a destination where nature's most awe-inspiring spectacles unfold. For this reason, Kenya has been the iconic staple of East Africa safari packages for decades. Its famed Maasai Mara National Reserve is the stage for one of the world’s greatest natural dramas—the annual Great Migration, where over two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles thunder across the plains, pursued by predators in a delicate balance of survival.

Beyond the Mara, Kenya’s diverse ecosystems reveal more: from the vast, arid expanse of Samburu, where endangered species like the Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe roam, to Amboseli National Park, where elephants tread beneath the imposing shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro.

With a commitment to conservation and vibrant cultural landscapes, Kenya offers a rich, immersive experience for travelers seeking an authentic and profound connection to the wild. Clients often ask, “When is the best time for an East Africa safari?” and with Kenya, the answer is, always! Contact us today to craft your exclusive wildlife safari in East Africa.

Your Questions, Answered

  • While wildlife viewing is excellent year-round, the Dry Seasons - from late June to October and December to February - are generally considered ideal. During these months, animals congregate around water sources, making them easier to spot.

If you wish to witness the iconic Great Migration river crossings, aim for July through September in Kenya’s Maasai Mara.

For those interested in the wildebeest calving season, January and February in the Southern Serengeti are magical.

    • Kenya: Home to the Maasai Mara and exclusive private conservancies in Laikipia, offering unparalleled service and seclusion.

    • Tanzania: Famous for the vast Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the spice islands of Zanzibar for a “bush and beach” combination.

    • Rwanda: The premier destination for luxury gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.

  • You are very likely to see the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino). Beyond these, the plains are filled with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and crocodiles. Depending on your specific itinerary, you might also see mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, or "special" species like the reticulated giraffe and Grevy's zebra in Northern Kenya.

  • For the most exclusive lodges and peak travel dates (the Migration or Festive Season), we recommend booking 9 to 12 months in advance. High-end boutique camps have limited capacity -sometimes as few as six tents - and the best guides and rooms are often secured nearly a year out.

  • Yes. The primary safari circuits in Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda are very safe for international travelers. Luxury providers utilize private transfers, secure bush flights, and professional guides who prioritize your well-being. As with any international travel, we recommend staying within established tourist areas and following the expert advice of your local guides.

    • Visas: Most guests require a visa. Kenya now uses an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), while Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda offer e-visas. If visiting multiple countries, the East Africa Tourist Visa (covering Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda) is a convenient option.

    • Health: A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is often required for entry. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended. We advise consulting a travel clinic at least 8 weeks before departure.
