The 3-star Zambezi Sun Hotel is the next best choice after its sister Sun International Hotel, the Royal Livingstone Hotel. While the Royal Livingstone is situated adjacent the falls so that guests may walk to them on paths from the hotel grounds, the Zambezi Sun is about 4 miles away and requires transport. The Zambezi Sun operates a shuttle to and from the falls several times daily at a nominal cost. The hotel is used heavily by families and conventions.

The 212-room hotel features adobe-style architecture. Simple finishes highlight bright mosaics and fabrics as well as Zambian artworks and accessories. The hotel is constructed in a series of eight buildings, consisting of the guest rooms, a central pavilion of restaurants and a convention center.
