Located on a large private farm in the foothills of the Aberdare Mountains, Sangare Camp is beautifully built around a large natural pond usually filled with shorebirds. Many types of big game wander freely on the farm, especially impala and zebra, and it's likely while sitting on the veranda of your tent that you'll hear the munching of grass in the back!

Ten spacious, luxury tents are mounted in concrete platforms at the lake edge. Each tent has complete facilities, including modern plumbing and attractive interior furniture. Every veranda looks out over the lake.

The camp offers a variety of activities, including traditional game drives. There are also escorted game walks including one to a famous historical cave used by Mau Mau insurgents fighting for independence in the 1950s. There is also mountain biking, bird walking and horse back riding, which uniquely includes a zebroid, a cross between a domestic horse and a zebra. The camp also runs interesting guided tours to neighboring flower farms.
