Spectacularly located on the edge of a high escarpment overlooking the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Mweya Lodge is Uganda's best tourist lodge, and the only lodge in this large and heavily used park.

There are 46 guest rooms, including a couple suites, all rebuilt in 2007 and providing full facilities. The public areas include a massive swimming pool located on the edge of the escarpment. There is a bar, boutique and business center.

This was Uganda's first lodge, originally built in the 1960s, but it was completely destroyed during the turbulent years of Idi Amin. It reopened in 1993.
