One of the most historic camps in East Africa, Larsen's has technically been around since the turn of the last century, one of the most famous hunting camps in Kenya' Great Northern Frontier. Needless to say, it doesn't look quite the same, today!

This is Samburu's finest in-park camp, with 20 spacious Arabian tents perfectly placed along the Ewaso Nyiro river in thickets that afford excellent privacy. Each glamorous tent contains antique furniture, massive beds and a modern tiled bathroom that includes a large walk-in shower. Double-canvas siding can be easily lowered or raised by the guests to allow the river breezes in this harsh climate, or to protect the interior from heavy rains. Several fans, including a large overhead rotary, keep the tents desert cool.

The large and beautiful public library/lounge/dining tent is where some of the finest food is served on safari, complemented by fine South African wines personally chosen by the owners.
