Iguassu Falls
Unlike most falls which are single curtains of water, Iguassu has 270 discreet falls and large islands. There are several steps, canyons and inlets, each with their own set of impressive falls, with lush rain forests that extend into the neighboring jungle. Two-thirds of the falls are in Argentina and a third in Brazil, but both countries have cultivated exceptionally good national parks with walkways and numerous viewpoints. At one point a person can stand and be surrounded by 260 degrees of waterfalls. The Garganta do Diabo has water pouring into it from three sides. |
