Hatari Lodge is a unique "luxury bush hotel" located under the strapping peak of Mt. Meru in a thick acacia forest on the northern edge of Arusha National Park, one of Africa's most beautiful and diverse national parks. The lodge's decor theme and its name are taken from the Hollywood movie, Hatari!, starring John Wayne, which was filmed here in the late 1950s.

The lodge offers 9 extremely comfortably furnished rooms, each with an open fireplace and a spacious bathroom en suite. Each room has been lovingly decorated in a retro style, evoking the 50's and 60's - the time of Hatari! and the beginning of safaris in Tanzania.

The oldest building is a large central living and dining room with a cozy lounge area and bar with a veranda and viewing deck, as well as a library.
