The only good hotel in the city center, the Arusha Hotel is a four-star, first-class property located opposite the city's Clock Tower, the midway point between Cape Town and Cairo. The main central city streets radiate off the Clock Tower roundabout to post offices and banks, many curios shops, commercial business and restaurants.

The hotel is historic, having been used in Arusha since the 1930s and rebuilt many times since. Today, there are a variety of room types, most with air-conditioning and including a wing with luxury suites that overlooks the interior garden and pool. The hotel includes a business center, a busy restaurant used by many in the city, a coffee shop, meeting areas and a casino and bar.
